The Christmas Tree Hunt!

For those of you that don't know every year since I was born we have had a Martin Family tradition. The Friday after thanksgiving we drive up to Vernal Stay in a classy hotel..(Vernal yeah right) Swim, go to dinner, maybe see a movie, and do some shopp'in! This year was pretty much the same! Kaden is a year older, of course, so he was into it a bit more. He loved riding the 4-wheeler...which we did most of the time...while dad found us the Barker Family Christmas tree! It is a tradition I love...and will never stop doing!

So I realized today why I never blog...cuz my computer takes forever....yes I need a new one! Anyway these are just a few pics of Kaden in his Lion Costume #2 , Which I love!! (Read earlier post and you will know why there are two) and some pumpkin Pics!

Christmas morning walking down the stairs and he sees the train Santa brought him his words exactally "Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, a train, a train..."-Dec 25 2009-

While laying on the bed with his good friend Avery(7 months), she starts to scream a little bit and he rolls over....looks at me with his forhead scrunched and says in a very serious voice "Avery no screaming, no screaming." Can you tell that is something we say to him often...yes, yes it is. Jan 15 2010

As I am giving Kaden his much needed Tylenol he spits all of the beautiful RED dye on his new WHITE shirt! In absolute frustration I Yell...."Come on Kaden don't spit it out, you know how to take this medicine....HOW OLD ARE YOU? Your old enough to do this" He looks up at me with his sweet blue eyes...and says "I'm two!" ~Case closed...what a stupid question mom!

On the morning of his surgery to get tubes in his ears I quietly walk into his room, rub his back and tell him it's time to get up! It's 5:45am and I am ready for him to have a tantrum...being to so tired and all.
He looks right up and me and says "Okay mommy...time to go to the Dr." Funny thing...I never said ANYTHING...about going to the dr. Not even the night before. With all of the ear trouble he has had he hates the dr. But I think someone was looking out for him! "May 11, 2010"
